At least, this has been my experience.

The ego likes to fight and struggle its way to conquering goals. But this is exactly the kind of approach that will render Stillness ever beyond the grasp. The more you struggle, the further it flees.

And the mind, operating on the “more is more” principle…

So I haven’t been very active on this blog recently. I was trying to make it more about mindfulness and yoga. To go with that theme, I decided this year I was not going to make goals specifically. Instead, I am going to focus on feelings: strength, grace, ease, radiance, and depth. I am going to be documenting my journey on here. What I will be doing is:

-starting a juicing program while eliminating dairy, refined sugars, and cutting back on meat. I will be slowly adding in more food from local places and food that has less chemicals involved.

-creating a nontoxic skincare routine

-training for trail running ( ultimate goal is a race after summer)

-and working hard on my yoga inversions and getting all the way through the primary series in Ashtanga.

-meditating every morning and night

If anyone wants to join in and share their experiences feel free =) Its going to start off slow; I have 3 huge tests coming up for Graduate school. But after those are done I can focus 100%  on my health both mentally and physically.
